Free Tram Pass

The Sandia Peak Tramway stands as an iconic marvel of engineering that provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. As one of the longest aerial tramways in the world, it transports passengers from the base to the summit of the Sandia Mountains, covering a distance of approximately 2.7 miles. The journey offers panoramic vistas of the Rio Grande Valley and the Land of Enchantment. At the peak, visitors are treated to a stunning spectacle of the city below and can partake in various recreational activities, including hiking during the summer and skiing in the winter. The Tram is a unique experience that imprints lasting memories on all who ride it.

The Tram is open Wed - Mon, 9am-8pm (last Tram up), closed Tuesdays. Extended wait times can occur on holidays and weekends. Tram opening days and times do change from season to season.
